£ 251.00

DNA Risk: HLA-Related Autoimmunity assesses HLA and MHC-related genetic variation associated with susceptibility to selected autoimmune conditions.

Size

  • Family autoimmune insights: Assessing inherited susceptibility for proactive health strategies.
  • Autoimmune support: Providing genetic context for established or suspected autoimmune conditions based on symptoms or labs.
  • Thyroid autoimmunity evaluation: Exploring Graves’ disease or Hashimoto’s alongside clinical findings.
  • Coeliac disease screening: Evaluating symptoms or family history for gluten-related autoimmunity.
  • Inflammatory joint health: Considering ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, or lupus presentations.
  • HLA-related autoimmunity: Investigating genetic susceptibility in broader autoimmune workups.

Overview

DNA Risk: HLA-Related Autoimmunity is a blood spot genetic test analyzing HLA class I, II, and MHC-related variants linked to key autoimmune conditions. It provides HLA typing and disease-associated markers for clear risk assessment, guiding targeted investigations and preventive strategies. Findings may provide useful clinical context in individuals with autoimmune symptoms, an established diagnosis or a family history suggesting increased susceptibility. The report covers a range of conditions including coeliac disease, Graves’ disease, Hashimoto thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondylitis and vitiligo.

Results are interpreted alongside symptom history, family history and other relevant investigations where appropriate. The test is not a diagnostic tool but may be useful for preventative measures as well as further investigation or to target broader autoimmune assessments.
